We stayed for six days in late June. Arrived without reservations, but there were very few campers there. We were able to get a site with electricity, ($8.00 extra per day, but worth it as it was very hot). A quiet place, very relaxing, yet not far from Mesa Verde National Park. There is a municipal dump station, free ,24 hours in Cortez, with water available on a meter for a few dollars.
