Our stay was in January. Coming through the door to register was eye opening. The staff was so friendly and informative. The registration building held a store and restaurant. Open grill certain days of the week and a fantastic fish fry on Friday nights with entertainment. Breakfast buffet on Saturday morning. Pizza night on Saturday night. Within five minutes of getting set up were were watching deer walk very close to our trailer. They became a daily sight. Super fast internet and cable were free. Our Verizon would work sporadically. A beautiful pool but too cold at this time of year. The hot tub was disabled as needed fixing. They have trails where you can climb to the top of the hill to two observation towers/stands. Sights are wonderful! The campground is laid out strategically so views are great. All sights looked level with packed gravel. Roads are paved. We had no trouble getting level. We had a patio table on concrete and a fire pit. They have many cabins that we would use if didn't have a fifth wheel. They have gas pumps but went down temporarily as they had a lightening strike near the fish pond while we were there. The reason for one less star is because they had no propane service. But the staff readily gave us a store's name/location which was easy to get to. I would absolutely recommend coming only from the south on Hwy 16 as the north route is filled with very tight corners and hills.
