Stayed here to visit this area of the Maine coast. Location is convenient to the villages and towns on the coast. Owners are working on campground. Our site behind office was level. Other sites in woods. Campground needs updating. Stayed in our class A motorcoach with tow.
We only paid $32. Google posts it as being more.
Nice park. Friendly people. Lots of trees. On the water. On US1. Would stay there again.
We stayed here in a 43’ DP. Interior roads are narrow and spaces, for the most pet seem tight. We suffered damage when we encountered an area of the road that wasn’t level. The coach dipped to the left causing our slide topper awning to come in contact with a tree that was overhanging the road. Had it been trimmed we would t have had contact. The owner was working on the cg and the staff was nice enough. Location is near town right on US-1.
We stayed here in a 30' class C. The site was a pull through and level and very shaded. Many pull-throughs at this park. Very clean, free showers and a large coin-op laundry room. One side of the park borders on Penobscot Bay and they have made a very nice viewing area there, along with a weekly lobster dinner every Saturday that they have on the waterfront. It was an excellent meal of lobster, BBQ chicken, salt potatoes, corn on the cob and cole slaw. Close to everything in Rockport, Camden and Rockland. My daughter stayed at the same time in a cabin with 2 kids and loved it. They also sell wine and beer in the camp store, which was nice. We'll definitely go again.
Rustic campground right on Penobscot Bay neat Rockport, Camden and Rockland, ME. The campground is in the process of being renewed by the current owners. There are "Cedar showers" which are nice unless its cold otherwise they do have indoor showers that were clean but need updating. You can walk to the shore where they have a nice area to sit and watch the bay. Short drive to grocery and fuel.
