Well maintained Reasonably priced Friendly staff Weekend entertainment Even hot showers with good pressure Had a good time
This is not the best place to stay for 30$ , facilities need definitely some work in it!!!
We stayed 07/19 in our 36 foot motor home and toad. We called that morning for reservations and the gal said no worries, just come by and pick out a spot. It may only be 6.4 miles off I-81, but much of it is on a winding undivided road, so in a motor home you re always going slow and hoping that you don t mean someone coming the other way on a nearly blind corner. There wasn t much traffic on the road around 4:00 p.m., so we didn t actually have any problems. We arrived and picked #53 for ease of access and shade. 30 amp electricity and water only. The 50 amp spots were more difficult to access and our front air wasn t working, so 30 amps were all we needed. A bunch of folks showed up later, but there were spots for everyone and more. The lady at the office was nice and helpful and other campers were friendly. No sure I would choose this place again for and overnight only because of the somewhat awkward drive in and out from the highway, but nothing wrong with the park itself.
We stayed there recently and the was a comfortable environment for all - swimming in the pond and pool for the kids, karaoke, and friendly campers. We had zero issues and the owner/staff are friendly. This has a rustic camping in a national forest feel so if that s what you re looking for, this is your place. The only thing We weren t the biggest fan of was the bathroom/shower house. It s pretty dirty/rough/rugged, but still serves its purpose. We d come back again!
