This is a great campsite for the money. The pads are not paved, but are crushed limestone. The facilities are older but kept clean. We are going to make this our go-to place to camp.
Camped here for several days in mid-August. Water was so far down that a lot of the shoreline was mud and swamp. Biggest irritation: FLIES. Restrooms and showers pretty run down. There is a new dump station, but no fresh water at the dump station, and we were told the water is pretty chemical anyway. The camp spots are actually ok, and we have camped here in the past and enjoyed it. Not sure if they were draining the lake or what, and why the flies were so bad. If you just want to camp in the trees and not be at the waters edge, it might be fine. Also note, NO ALCOHOL, and this is enforced!
Stayed in Maple 31 backed up to Lake but slopes down so we had difficulty leveling our 34 ft Class A. No shade at this site and the ones across and beside us. Beautiful view of the lake! Quiet and dark. Water level REALLY high. Large grassy areas are quite muddy. We are glad we aren't over in the trees! Restrooms and showers need upgrading. Water stations are not convenient. Dump station doesn't have water for rinsing tank.
