Reviews for Mill Point RV Park

| Rustic, quiet

Park is very basic with no restrooms or trash disposal. It is a very nice setting among the trees and near the river. Driveway is dirt and gravel. Sites are gravel. 50 amp full hookups. Very spacious. Staff very nice and great rates. Water definitely has rust in it. Would stay there again when in the area.

Spent one night. It's ok for that but pricey for what you get in return. The biggest complaint was the water was brown. Yes brown. Lightly tinted so we opted to use our onboard water for the night. The sewer was an issue also. It kept backing up while I dumped the tanks. Seemed like it needed a air vent.

We stayed there two nights. Great setting. Lots of nice big trees. Right on the Illinois River. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The park could use a little TLC but it appears at the staff is working on that. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Great little campground, very shady, level sites, pull thrus. Staff was helpful, a filter was provided for our water hookup. Everything was clean and the grass well cut, very quiet. Lots of mosquitos, but thats to be expected near the river - just be sure to bring repellant.

We stayed there two nights. Lots of nice big trees. Good size pull thru right on the Illinois River. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The park could use a little TLC it appears the staff is working on that. No cable or WiFi, poor OTA TV.

The place is spread out, even water look outs or can go to it. Illinois River. 35 Did not stay in one but they have tiny cabins to sleep in that has to be cheaper than motel. I believe they have tent spaces too. Shade from huge trees, it is almost dark, beautiful! A Work in progress.

What a wonderful place to stay away from the crowds and noise. The manager was so nice too. We used our Passport America which made our nights 1/2 price. Stayed right next to the Illinois river. We had a nice campfire every night. Looking forward to coming back. Also rode our bicycles a lot. Actually we had the whole place to ourselves until 2 other rigs came in.

Three reasons for such a low rating. Water supply is heavily contaminated with rust, has a strong taste and is discolored which was not stopped by the Camco filter I use. Sites are not well kept and most are very muddy. Lastly, the road approaching the park is tree lined and has many low branches. Someone leaving the park had a TV antenna ripped off which was lying on the edge of the road on our second day there. We had to drive on the wrong side of the road most of the way out on our departure.
