I see the previous review of the park saying it hasn t been maintained. Unfortunately this park experienced a SEVERE flash flood a couple seasons ago... about have the park was buried under inches of mud and was more less destroyed. Due to the state of Illinois financial situation the staff was left to borrow equipment from other parks and have slowly been working to put it back together. This is a beautiful park with great overlooks. If people RVing do not stay here. The state will find a reason to close it. I grew up in the park and we take our kids there every year. Everyone is entities to your own opinion but I find it disheartening that the previous reviewer took no time to ask why it was so rough. The people there care so badly about this park and haven t asked for a thing to help restore it.
