Really liked this place. Very clean park - trash picked up at site all day 9-5. Level, gravel, FHU back-in site. Also have pull-thrus, however not enough room to leave toad attached if 40'. Back-in sites not shaded, but pull-thrus are. Also have shaded, 30 amp, w/e sites that back up to a stream as well as wooded tent sites. Two levels - lower level near activities with a steep drive to an upper level that is more private. Helpful, friendly staff and easy check-in. Lots of things for kids to do as well as other activities. Good cable. Excellent WiFi - among the best we've had - never slowed down - even during peak use hours. Dog friendly with nice dog park. Easy to get to from I-64. Shopping close by in Crozet. We would definitely stay here again.

| Overall nice campground -

We prefer the lower camping area. Some sites are very close together. Clean, well maintained facilities.

Pleasant campground, decent facilities, easy in and out for over-nighters on the interstate. Office reception not very welcoming, NO after-hours registration!

The day had gotten away from us before we found a place to park for the night. The staff at Misty Mountain were wonderful and the property was clean and quiet. Would definitely stop in again on our way thru and you should too!

Just here for the weekend but seems like a really nice place. They had a lot of activities planned but it rained the whole weekend so we didn't partake. Just a short drive from Thomas Jeffersons Monticello. We will be back!

When we first got here we thought we had entered a barking dog reunion but it quickly died down. Packed in but that’s fine for one night. Lots of people seem to be here for a while. Clean and everything seems to work.

| Muddy & Smoky

By user-6403550... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2018-10-14 to 2018-10-18

We were in the new VIP area due to the fact that we have a 45-ft coach. While the site was long enough to park our toad, the drive in had tight turns. Couple that with recent rains that had left a muddy mess and you have a recipe for disaster which is what happened to a 42 footer that came in 30 min after us. We were in VIP #2 and barely made the turn. They had VIP #1 and got so stuck in the mud that a very large wrecker had to pull him out. They stayed elsewhere. Also, the people 2 sites down kept a fire going all day and well into the evenings during our 4 night stay. So much for fresh, cool mountain air!

| Bad Customer Service

They gave away the site we had reserved 6 months ago(!!!) to a Long-term resident . They could have emailed us about the change and given us the choice to stay and choose a new site, or refund our down payment and we d go elsewhere. Instead they wait until we get here and put us in a leftover site. In the middle of the fishbowl(!!!) instead of having a private forested view. Didn t even offer a discount for the disappointment. Horrible customer service. STAY AWAY.

| Quiet up top

By user-5524630... on 2019-08-09.

We stayed in spot 70, a back in spot, with our 40 (50 with rear deck down). The spots are deceptively not level, but it s easy enough to get leveled. Our spot had a nice deck, picnic table, and fire ring. It was quiet and peaceful. The restrooms are clean and maintained. When we pulled in, the power was not working, and a neighbor said the guy night before had burned it out. The camp staff got it repaired quickly and we were up and running. 70 is at the top of the hill with tight turns but nothing unmanageable. We have a super duty 350 and if you re underpowered you might have difficulty getting to the top. Plenty of wineries nearby and a cool little market on Thursday s just up the street.

| Good location for historical area.

We had site 4 right on the creek, very private site. Long pull through. Very good speed on WiFi. Clean and roomy bathhouse though it is a bit of a walk.
