Restrooms are old and are not up to par with other state parks that we have stayed at. site was muddy with no grass. Bike trail was nice, as well as pool and nature center
Stayed a long weekend. The pool is nice, but very cold. The tube river was too low to tube down. Some of the sites get very muddy, but some are nice with cement. We liked having full hook up.
Our first "real" camping trip. We could not have been more pleased with our experience. Nice large pull thru site with plenty of space from neighbors. The trail nearby was just right for our 7 and 9 year old children. To get to the fire tower and covered bridge/Lyons falls trails, it's about a 15 min drive. Those were taxing for our kids, but we'll worth it. The "commissary" was closed, and the pool had not opened yet, so no input about those.
We stayed here for only 1 night on our to Michigan, but would stay here again if in the area. Judging by the number of campgrounds near by it appears the area is a popular recreational destination. They're in the process of updating the bath houses so 1 unit was closed, but the 1 that's been done is VERY nice! Lots of trees so nearly every site has shade. We weren't there long enough to use the trails, but it appears there are lot available from challenging mountain bike trails to flat paved walking & biking paths. Staff was very friendly too.

We got a pull through, full hookup site during the week. Great customer service at the Camp store. Camp store is open year around and well stocked for being after Labor Day. Can get a little busy on the weekends in the fall but well worth the trip since the fall colors are beautiful. We will be back
