If you like to be surrounded by nature and hiking/biking trails, this is a great spot. The campground is in a canyon, so it doesn't get the full sun, but you are close to the cliffs, trails and beach. The only amenities are provided by Mother Nature.

| One of the best on the central coast

If your a hardcore RV'r this might be a little primitiveā€¦no hook ups etc. this is however one of the most beautiful spots on the central California coast. The campground is tucked back from the beach in a canyon. campsites are on the small side ( for giant rv's) but still very nice overall just a great place to hang out for a few days.

We checked it out today for a future visit. Two water tanks on site with very little pressure. Be sure to fill your water tanks and bring drinking water. Vault toilets with no showers on site. No dump station. I understand that you have to drive about fifteen minutes to Morro Bay State Park to dump. There are lots of walking trails but most don't allow dogs. The beach is a short walk or drive and it is beautiful. The toilets and at least one campsite are wheelchair accessible. There is a 27' maximum length for all RVs.

| No hookups, latrines only, spectacular trails.

Beautiful spot, at walking distance from the beach and the ocean, surrounded by great trails for walking/running/biking/horseriding/whalewatching/tidepool exploring. Friendly ladies at the visitor centre at the entrance. No phone reception at the campsite, connect to nature and yourself only. Whether it is quiet or less so depends mostly on other campers (there was a lot of excitement for a running event when I stayed). I was lucky to get the last campsite, an ADA, the manager told me that after 17h they can give the disabled place away on a first come, first serve basis.

The road to the park is very narrow and winding. Some of the sites aren't very flat. There is no electricity, and the bathrooms are whooo!!!! But i love this place...the sand dunes are really cool and drop straight down into the ocean.
