Reviews for Monterey Pines

| Nice quiet park

Nice park especially if you are a golfer. Located adjacent to the course it is an easy walk to the clubhouse and pro shop. It is also next to the airport so there is the occasional airplane. I would stay here again in a minute. It is a military facility.

Pretty nice place to relax. On the one ha d it s military so most of the campers are retired so that means quiet nights. On the other ha d it is next to the airstrip on base so there are planes flying right iverhead as early as 0539. This was not an easy thing to deal with, as we had two tents that pop out.

| Military Only - Best value in Monterey!

Stayed here 4 nights with my family and loved it. Short bike ride to town, grocery, etc. The restrooms were clean and heated. Overall, you cannot ask for a better value if you want to be near town. The park is adjacent to the airport but that didn't bother us one bit. We will definitely be back.

| Clean, tight parking, airport noise

By user-4912107... on 2019-08-09.

Used a 23 foot trailer. The whole area is kept very clean and host was helpful on arrival. Bathrooms were clean and warm (cold weather). The airport is noisy; mostly early morning thru the day though. The large pine trees drop a lot of needles on everything. During golf business hours the gate is open to the public, otherwise you will use a code to get in. You will need military/retiree/etc ID to stay at this park. Check-in is after 1200, noon. Checkout before 1200, noon. In town near cannery road and aquarium I parked for free by finding 2 hour road parking and moving spots when time expired. The meter maids are extremely watchful and run a mafia out there.
