We have stayed here every year for the last ten years. It is wall run, with the owner being actively involved in the daily operations. The sites are large with grass between most, restrooms and showers are clean and well maintained, and the short term stay folks are in the front while the long term and seasonal are generally toward the back of the campground. At site metered propane is available for the seasonal sites. Several summers, we have stayed a month and love the place. Lots to do in the area using Montrose as a base for day trips. Montrose tends to have great weather in the sunner, with warm days and cool nights.

We wanted a park near the black Canyon National Park. This KOA is right in Montrose and on the road to the park. Gravel roads and level sites with good space between. KOA members get another 10% discount.

Nice park! Quiet and the restrooms were very clean. Attendant was very helpful.
