need a lot of Works weeds,trash, garbage dumpsters all over full. Seen a lot for dogs off leach running free in camp grounds. No dog bag dispensers no garbage cans and a lot of dog feces all over the campground.
We stayed in November so it was nice and quiet. Grounds are well maintained, staff is friendly, peaceful location. Around the trout pond are the most scenic sites. Would have liked a restroom on the premises.
A good campground beside a nice lake. All spots were paved and level and very big with full hookups. Stayed here for one night and it was nice. Taking off one star for 20 vehicle line to get in the gate that took about 45 minutes to get through and the high price ($48)
Camanche is an awesome, clear, huge, wonderful lake! Both North and South shore are incredible and there are soooooo many amazing waterfront sites!
This was our first time here and we were kind of weary as the path towards the lake look deserted until finally we pulled up to a long line awaiting entrance. Once we were in and settled it was amazing. We had a lake view. Place was packed. Dog friendly. Lots of families there. Our dogs got to swim in the lake you can fish also. Overall would do it again.
