PROS: Full hookups. Clean. Free showers. Good wifi near office. All laundry machines working. Very nice staff (Lainey). CONS: Cramped spaces. No picnic tables. No fires allowed. Poor wifi reception 70 ft or more from office. Expensive laundry cost. Some sites very noisey with high-speed traffic only 20 ft away.
It's not the biggest nor the finest RV park. But it's clean (showers/restrooms) our stay was over July 4, 2015. We went to see my brother in law who was very ill, we didn't spend all day there. However, it was sure nice to go back to a very quiet place to relax. We're new RVers so we had a couple problems (our problems) but the staff was very pleasant, always helping and friendly! We don't go in RV to sit inside all day and listen to kids yell n play (normal kids just play loud outside) or come back to rest and have to listen to a bunch of drunks gabbing nonsense. It's a friendly, nice, clean and quiet place.
We made our reservation from the road at 8:30pm on a Saturday night. We paid and were assigned a site and easily settled in upon arrival. Thank you, Morehead Park staff for accommodating us. We found the park clean and quiet. Water, electric, trash, internet and sewer are all included in nightly rate of $48.00. Nice laundry facility on-site. We enjoyed the picnic area on the lawn by the office and had a great meal on the BBQ. RV storage facility on-site. Close to shopping, gas and food. Only downsides are the wi-fi can have a weak signal. Some spaces close to the main road can be noisy. Bathroom/Showers are no longer available.
