Traveling across country and needed an overnight spot. The park is very easy to find from I-80, you can see the freeway traffic from the campground but you don't hear it. The campground has the Platte River on one side and Mormon Lake on the other, choose your site then self register at the entrance. The sites have 30 & 20 amp electricity only. Fresh water fill and dump station have easy access.
Stopped overnight on way home to NC. Rv Rate is 20 $ plus 5 $ if you don't have NE state park license. Pretty park with nice lake to cool off or fish if you have a valid license.
My friend was in a training in Grand Island. I went along to sit with her dog and mine. The campground was beautiful, the hosts and staff were friendly and accommodating, and we we allowed to have our dogs. Rates are very reasonable for what all you get. Will definitely go there again.
We arrived with our 28 foot RV pulling our car to stay 2 nights. Fee was $72.00. There is a $8.00 per motor charge bringing it to $36.00 per night electric only site. Not exactly what literature says.
This campground is right off the interstate and easy to get into. They have a small lake for swimming, and our two goldens loved swimming away from the beach. Be aware that all vehicles have to purchase a State Park sticker. We were in a motor home with a towed. That is State law, certainly not the park Host's fault. This was a return visit and we will stay here again next spring for Crane season.
Easy to find-- right off I80. Some freeway noise, but not much. People who live in noisy areas or in town might not notice. Great facility, clean and well maintained. Laundry inexpensive. Restrooms spacious and clean. Great fishing.
