| Things have changed!

It's close to home and I used to fish there a lot. But don't catch anything of size anymore. I did have a Musky on this spring but bit my line off. The lake is still overgrown with lilly pads. Some of the fishing docks are still in bad shape. And some have not been replaced that were removed because they were unsafe to even walk on. I have to drop my rating from 3 to 2 stars. The rules say you can only have 2 cars on your campsite at any time and have 2 wheels on and 2 wheels off the parking pad. The camp hosts stopped by to inform me I was not parked properly. I kindly moved my car. Then, later on we had our pregnant daughter and grandkids visit for dinner. Then the the camp hosts (camp police) stopped us to inform us of the rule about only having 2 cars on the lot and that they my daughter could park in the overflow parking, which was at by the dump station at the entrance to the campground. I told them they were only here to eat and would leave in a few minutes. They were very persistent about the rule. I'm sorry but I'm not making my pregnant daughter walk a mile to and from our campsite when they are only here to visit. It's a good thing I didn't bring my boat, also. Where would I have to park it? I'm certainly parking it off my site with all the expensive electronics and fishing gear for people to take in the middle of the night. Things need to change here before we camp here again. I should actually give it 1 star but I feel generous.

| Nice little State Park for camping.

By user-5728504... on 2017-10-23.

We live close to this park and have camped here quite often. The sites are not packed together so close that you don't have a bit of privacy. The shirts have always been clean and it's not a long walk to get to them. Reasonable camping fees except on holiday weekends when they tack another $5.00. Which still isn't bad for two days. Holidays seem pretty crowded though. We tend to not camp here on those weekends.

| Awesome State Park

We stayed here for a couple nights. As a previous reviewer wrote, it s quiet, lots of space between sites, and the camp hosts were awesome. We will stay here, again :)
