| Great Place!

Stayed two nights in the end of July. Campground is very nice, but the forests are not very pretty. Host is delightful, firewood is cheap, and the price is right. I'll be back.

| Park is nice but pool was unexpected closed

We stayed in our motorhome in loop C with two grandkids. Our son, daughter-in-law and their other four kids stayed in one of the park cabins. When we made reservations in January for a week in late August, the pool was advertised as being open seven days a week, Memorial weekend thru Labor Day weekend. A week before our arrival, their website warned that the pool would now be closed on weekdays. Then a couple of days before we arrived it changed to say the pool was closed --- period. We were very disappointed in that as we had counted on the pool for entertaining the grandkids, especially since they do not allow swimming or wading in the adjacent Yadkin River. Other than that, our stay was good. We rented canoes, bicycled, walked the park and hiked several trails. The cabin was rustic but nice. It was fine with us that it had no TV. It allowed the grandkids to entertain themselves "old school." Don't know about all the cabins, but no. 2 had no cell phone service on either the Verizon or AT&T networks. Our RV site in loop C did have service, however.

| My goto place

Park is secluded and on a rolling hills area. Good wildlife to see and all of the amenities, except for sewer hookup. My wife and I have been staying there for several Years and keep going back because of the quiet and the view. The only reason not 5 stars was they too 16 months to fix the power back to normal. It is now, but took forever.
