Is a hidden gem. My husband and I loved staying here. It is very quiet and peaceful. I am grateful to the University of Alabama for letting us stay among the Native American mounds. We could see the mounds from our rv. We also walked around the archeological site and two of the mounds have steps going to the top. They also have a Native American museum which was free for staying there.
We stayed for a week and had a great time appreciating nature and all of the history of the area. We saw 4 to 5 deer every evening around our spot. We stayed in slot #1 pull through. We are coming back as often as we can.
Small campground within the Mounds archeological area, a nights stay includes admission to the museum which is a must see. Enjoyed the stay & experiencing the history of the land.
