Always 10-15 degrees up on Mt. Magazine. State Park's small wooded campground sits in the middle of the scenic Cameron Bluff circular drive. It has nice 30 amp sites, angled, shaded, wooded, fire ring, grill, lantern hanger. Couple are 50 amp. WES at all sites. Nice convenient bathhouse and walking trails to the bluff's numerous overlooks - fabulous sunset views! We love this campground get-away. We've camped in a 37' 5th wheel in several different sites - not a "bad" site among them. Gorgeous visitor information center. Numerous trails offer walkers, hikers, and horse-riders exploration of this beautiful mountaintop area. Connecting Forest Service roads w/ATV trails. Lake swimming available at the bottom of the mountain - Cove Lake US Forest Service (wooded less developed campsites there) - small entry fee. Also a gorgeous mountain lodge, all rooms well-appointed with valley views, swimming pool, meeting rooms, bar and restaurant. Lastly, really nice cabins with fireplace, decks with valley views and hot tubs.
