Reviews for Mount Shasta City KOA

| Great park and hosts

We stayed here in 2014. I agree with the review from 07/26/2015. These are by far the nicest hosts we have come across yet. Easy in/easy out, level pull through sites with our 40' coach towing a 20' enclosed trailer. It is easy walking distance to town. The entrance road made me a little nervous with the tree growing in it, but we made it in just fine. This was one of our best stays we've had in the past two years of traveling. We plan on staying again.

| Great Location, Host and Store

Beautifully maintained, with caring Host. The store had everything we need and more. We were able to ride our bikes to an awesome restaurant (Mike and Tony's) in town in 5 mins.

| Very nice place for the off season.

Small and cozy, a little tight but not to bad. Close to town and if you walk through the back of the park you can get a beautiful view of MOUNT SHASTA.

5 stars for some of the nicest hosts we've encountered. Great spot, super kid-friendly.

Nice site with shady trees. Good playground for the kids, nice pool (though a tad cold). Wifi worked reasonably well. Staff was friendly. We were here earlier in the month on our way up north and decided to come back on our return leg.

| Great location, nice park, love the host

Just a one nighter with our 40ft diesel & two dogs. A bit narrow, but nothing we couldn’t manage during daylight (I wouldn’t want to try it cold when dark). Cozy place, friendly easy going neighbors, and a hostess with the mostest - friendly and good sense of humor. We’d definitely stop here again

| Trains, TRAINS, TRAINS!!!!!

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SLEEP HERE!!! We were told that the trains average one every six hours. Instead, there were SIX of them between 10 pm and 6 am! It was a Saturday night for Pete's sake. The tracks are just two blocks from the middle of the park, which is right through the middle of this poor little town. They hand out free earplugs at the desk. That should have sent us packing. But, it was so booked that we had to dry camp in an overflow spot for $36. So, we gave it a try. YOU COULDN'T SLEEP HERE IN A CONCRETE BUNKER! The only good things in this park are the scenery and the delicious water.

| Rustic with lots of trees

My only gripe is with our specific site (31) for a 28 foot motorhome. Our poor neighbors were enjoying time at their picnic table which is literally 18 inches from our hookups. We tried to avoid using sewer until our gray tank was full and was so thankful they were not sitting at their table since the dump hole is about 12 inches from the picnic table bench. Because of a tree on one side, our slide just about came out to their table as well. I guess the moral here is the table in their site (30) should be relocated but its concrete so not easily done. The camp is nice with a lot of trees. The ground is some gravel but mostly dirt and pine needles which adds to the rustic motif. You just need to be prepared to track it into your RV.
