Reviews for Mountain Meadow RV Park

| The only nice part is the entrance

D.U.S.T.B.O.W.L. Hilly, Narrow very unlevel sites. You register online for an extra large RV needing 50amp service and they have to call you back and confirm along with sending an email only to attempt a 'bait and switch' tactic and cram you into a short site with 30 amp service thinking you will just take it because you are tired from a long day of driving. It doesn't make any sense how their 50 amp sites are spread willy nilly throughout the park...why not pay the extra pennies and make them all 30/50 amp??? They claim to be a dog friendly park but the only place outside of your site you are allowed to have them is up a steep, unlit, remote gravelly and rutted ATV trail....a rather scary place in bear country! The staff is less than helpful with a 'oh well, take it or leave it' attitude. Rather expensive park for what you get and they trick you saying if you register online you get a 10% discount.... they claim to be a Good Sam park not won't honor the Good Sam discount if you register online so, there is no benefit to registering online. And if you pay your fee's with cash when you arrive you get 30% off??? Seems a little suspicious to me like maybe they aren't reporting that income??? I won't be returning to this park nor recommending it to anyone unless they make some major improvements.

Mountain Meadow RV park is just outside Glacier National park about 8 miles great place to stay to be close to the action but far enough away you don’t have to deal with all the people and traffic. Nice fishing lake and great view. The campground is well kept but little hard to get around in big rig, sights are close but staggered nicely so you’re not on top of each other. Very important to note that this is not a camp ground for a new driver, roads are narrow and lots of hills. Important to note they have some of the nicest cleanest bathrooms of any campground I’ve been in, also very nice laundry room and store. The only thing I would change was the shower stale did not have door only curtain, making it little uneasy/unsafe to shower alone. They have WFI but didn’t work in our sight #53 but ATT cell worked fine. We would stay there again if in area.

Read the reviews, I can't add any more than my sentiments exactly ! I'm not sure why we leave reviews, it doesn't seem to make a difference !

This place is a dust bowl, very dirty and hilly. You make a ressie online, then they call and "confirm" details, only they promise and don't deliver. For example, 50amp & large RV friendly. They wedge you in. Many spaces are VERY sloped. Manager is extremely rude. Dogs have to be walked way up a hill in a remote area...not safe in bear country!

Where to begin? We made our reservations a year ago. We needed several rv sites and a cabin for about a week, some needed less days, but the length of time overall was a week. So in order of "Not so said the Butcher", if you know what I mean...one of the fellows was given an incorrect sight on purpose, with a change to the right site and the add in "We don't assign sites until you get here." So why did we make reservations, then???? The sites are not big rig friendly by a long shot. Only because we are all experienced Rv'ers are we able to get out of them and maneuver around tree trunks, and tables, and other people's rigs. No Satelite, although we were told we (personally) would probably be ok at our site (we missed the British Open Results - yes I know - so don't go camping - but that isn't the point)...It's what we were led to believe a year ago.....no WIFI, although it says there is - it is in select sites and fades in and out....our kids are grown, so didn't need the pond but it was a nice place to sit a spell if one wanted to. It is not close to Glacier, Whitefish, or Bigfork, or Kalispell, either - so don't overplan your day. We will come back some day to the area, it is beautiful country and we recommend you come - just pick a park in Columbia Falls, or elsewhere in the region if you desire space, (like for 4 slides), site space (like for more than one or two chairs and a big table), level site (instead of at an angle), and the garbage pick up pickup that doesn't know the meaning of the 5 mph speed limit and causes the dust to fly everywhere. If you have children keep an eye on them - pets too.. and oh yea, there is a dog walk somewhere in here. I didn't see it until the last day. Thank goodness my dogs are small, easy to clean up after......Happy Trails fellow campers and rvers......

Have to leave early due to smoke from the wild fires. Return policy is no refund unless it is more than 10 days before you cancel. I really hope the hundred dollars they will keep of mine really helps them. I also hope they lose many of hundreds of dollars due to their policy.

| Not Big Rig friendly

By user-5201487... on 2017-10-23.

This park does not honor confirmed reservations !! We had made reservations in March for a week stay over July 4th week. Confirmed 60' 50amp site. They tried to put us in a 30 amp 40' site barely large enough for slides and told us he had to move in 2 days because the site was reserved then! They wanted to put us in a site that was on a hill and not level. We were too long to maneuver into that site - we did not stay and demanded a refund because of their breech of contract. This campground is not RV Big Rig friendly - it should be labeled for trailers only - they have better turning radius that a 43' Rv. The "pond" is the size of a small swimming pool and they claim stocked. Pretty entrance. Narrow unleveled sites . No place to walk dogs

Best shower room I have ever been in in a campground.

Sites are huge, but long class As will find the roads hard. Sites are pines, wild flowers and some grass between them. Easy to find a level place in long pull thru, plenty of slide room. No cable, but many over-the-air channels out of Kalispell. Good shopping in Columbia Falls. Short drive to Glacier. Lots of privacy. Views are beautiful.

Great RVpark. New owners have really improved everything. New asphalt roads, reworked some sites. Showers are great and no extra cost. We will be back. Cancellation policy was right on the confirmation email.
