Reviews for Mountain Meadows RV Park

| Quiet, AMAZING view, GREAT park host

By user-4618490... on 2017-10-23.

Stopped here out of all the other RV parks in the area because of the good price ($21.90 with veteran discount.) Amazing sunsets at the west side of the park, magnificent view of the mountains to the east, few acres of desert to explore with your dog (hard packed clay trail, but watch out for snakes because this is New Mexico.) Large level gravel sites, many pull through sites, some back in. We came with a 32' travel trailer and had NO issues getting in/out of our site, navigating the park, or on the road to the park (it's a bit narrow but wider than the mountain roads we're used to.) Large community courtyard with horseshoes, a pergola, and flowering trees/bushes. CHEAP on site laundry, very clean showers and bathrooms, some exercise equipment. Huge library with books, movies, and games. Camp host was friendly, helpful, and a great resource. Will definitely take advantage of the half off discount for a second stay if we come back through the area.

Well kept, has inexpensive laundry and hot showers that feel like visiting someone's home...jn a good way! Small park and cpl miles off highway, but soo pleasant and so much better than being crammed together next to traffic like other places. We hiked nearby, and enjoyed the quiet... Planned just to stop for the night, but stayed an extra just because we liked it!

| Reservations don't mean much here

By user-6238113... on 2017-10-23.

We made a reservation the night before arriving for a full hook up 50amp service pull thru for our 40'MH and tow vehicle. When we got there this afternoon was told that they only had 30 amp sites left, seems that someone already there just moved their camper into our reserved site. I asked why these claim jumpers could not be asked to move, all I got was a shrug and a smile. At 94 degrees in full sun, there was no way a 30 amp service would do....this after driving 2.5 miles on a small back road to get don't count on what you're told... Go to the Boot Hill RV park, bigger, better and easy to get to..

Turn off 54 onto Mountain Meadows Rd. Do not follow GPS down Rattlesnake. Newly upgraded, new owners in 2013. Super quiet. Very friendly, large spots.

Delightful Owner and very helpful manager. Very calm, peaceful, scenic park. 50amp,pull thru, full hook up site. Shower very clean, plenty of hot water. Washers and dryers are easy access. Our dog could let unleashed on a very scenic walk just a few feet on the other side of the fence. We planned on staying one night and stayed for three.

Quiet RV Park away from highway and railway noise with lovely mountain backdrop. Good facilities and warm welcome on windy, after-hours arrival. PA OK for those who have it.

| You may want to stay longer

We like to be off the highway a bit, so the 2 mile drive off the main drag was just right for us. Very peaceful, with a super friendly host. Crystal went out of her way to ensure we got situated properly (we’re newbies) and was ready with local advice. We planned to stay two days, but enjoyed the place so much we spent a third day here. The shower and toilets are in two huge rooms, and far and away the nicest facilities we’ve used at a park. There are books, board games, and DVDs to borrow if you’re so inclined. We enjoyed the view of the mountains and the sunsets instead.

Pros-Well away from highway and quiet; level sites, hookups adequate. Staff was friendly and met us for late arrival. Cons-Men's and women's bathroom/ showers are large but only one of each. We used Rover Pass from their website which added $8 to the bill... Not a great value for $38

Great place, with those little extras that impress. Super thankful for the gracious hosts who let us come even though they were full and had us park near their field for the first night till something became available. The shower room was a nice large bathroom with a space heater and fresh towels for you to use so that you don't have to keep wet towels in your camper. Our while family(6 people) took long necessary showers after visiting White Sands and we all had hot water. Of the road a little which also keeps down on road noise.

Lovely park, wonderful hosts. Spotlessly clean restrooms, laundry and showers. Beautiful sunsets, and you can see White Sands National Monument from the park. Joanne and Jack hosted a Memorial Day BBQ while we were there. We got a chance to meet other travelers who were also very friendly. An overall great stay. We hope to return again. Thanks again Joanne and Jack!!
