Alberta is one of the best host's anywhere ! She will do everything she can to help you find diamonds !! A very sweet woman
Very few sites
We stayed here a couple of years ago. Close to the mine and the people were great. No frills, but the teens used the pool at the state park when they bored of mining.
A small Rv park close to the Crater of Diamonds state park. Our hosts went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed to find diamonds - they loaned us the tools, taught us to use them, and showed us what to look for. It is pretty basic, but the facilities were clean. Even though we had to back in, we would definitely stay here again!
Me and the wife stayed here few days . Nice little park. Everybody was friendly. They will teach you how to dig and pan for diamonds . Even loan you the tools . I stayed because the wife wanted to look for diamonds, I think I'll go back again . Internet was blazing and we were at the last spot .
Stayed here for amonth diamond mining. The staff was very hospitable and even show you how to mine. They also give you all the equipment to use free when you stay. Only 10 rv spots and 2 campsites right now and wifi fritzy but the price is right. $340 for a month.
We stayed here a couple of nights June 2016 while diamond hunting at Crater of Diamonds park. The owners were out of town when we arrived, but their friends covering for them were great and helped us with a dead road battery. The owners were great when they came back, too. Site was sunny but had everything we needed. Great spot!
Great stay! Very clean and well maintained. The host were friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to have fun for the children with their panning class and night gem hunt.
The owners were extremely knowledgeable about diamonds and gems. They allow you to borrow buckets, shovels, and screens to use at the state park. They even put on a cute little flashlight gem hunt for the kids at night. And then in the morning they taught us how to hunt for diamonds. They went above and beyond. DVD library, free ice, clean bathrooms and showers.
10.1.18, second time here. Hosts will tell and show you all you need to know about diamond hunting. They also lend you the equipment. Its in a dry county so bring your own booze.
Smallest park I've stayed at, 10 sites-1 pull-thru. Gravel sites, quite level, FHU including wifi. Very friendly managers, if you stay for 3 days they give you a diamond mining lesson & free equipment to use at Diamond Mine Park. While small the park is quite lovely and if you're into history the area has a few shops and historical sites. While just off main road, it was pretty quiet here.
