This was one of the best places we stayed..the desk man..whom I forgot his name was personable..nice..new everything KOA had tho offer...on site and off....with out a doubt I'll be back at this one...
Spent one night here but would have liked to stay longer. Helpful staff, woodsy and beautiful sites, great southern Baptist church next door. Close to beach, great spot.great bathrooms.
Thank you Jeremiah for the best stay we've ever had..and accommodating us.. You're worth a million...
We spent three days in November at Myrtle Beach KOA and enjoyed our stay. The campground wasn't very full so we had plenty of space around us. The sites are very wooded so satellite access was a no-go. The campground is just a couple of blocks off the main drag and only a short drive from the boardwalk. We would return.
We decided to take off over Thanksgiving weekend and ended up in Myrtle Beach at the KOA. The area is beautiful and wooded and so peaceful! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We rented a golf cart for the day from them and had a great time driving around town. Will definitely go back!
Love this place! We are a "big rig," and got a pull - thru site (#120). We had plenty of room to drop our back porch, which makes our camper 53' long, park our golf cart and our long-bed, crew cab dually, and still have plenty of space for the picnic table and our comfy lounge chairs. It is nestled in the trees with tons of space between campers. You have room to maneuver getting in, and room to breathe once you get set up. We rode through a few of the "beach front" campgrounds yesterday and were really turned off by the crowds and cramped spaces...less like "starfish," and more like sardines! (If you get it, you get it...lol) We cruised to the beach in a couple of minutes on our golf cart, with no trouble parking. I would be willing to bet it took us no longer than being in the other campgrounds, and when beach fun was over, we were again able to relax under the cool trees. While golf carts are allowed here, they are not here in large numbers, at all, and there's no constant parade of folks driving them around all day and night. My only complaint is one that I would have at nearly any other campground, and that's that the bathhouses aren't as clean as they could be. We rarely use them though, so no biggy there. There was a live band Friday night, karaoke Saturday night, and movie night at the pool on Sunday. Our son and his friend loved it, and we felt completely comfortable letting them venture around on their own. We rode our cart to the strip and to a few stores. No problem entering or exiting the campground in your car either due to crowds, like the other big campground in the area...This is definitely the place for us!
Had a wonderful 4-night stay in November. Very clean, very quiet and well-kept. Good WiFi, trash pick-up, leveled spacious sites. Good hook/ups. Will stay here again.
I am always impressed with KOA. We stayed during the Thanksgiving weekend. It was busy but not too bad. I enjoyed the personal service and the escort to your site. We had a pull thru and the porter assisted with getting the trailer in place. Site was level. No problems with the full hookups. The other campers were nice. Definitely will be back again.
We stayed on a site with a deck back to the pond. We had a ver nice stay. The site was very nice. We will return.
We have stayed at this facility the last three years. Every year they are upgrading, improving this location. Ultra clean and the newly installed "big rig" center lots are a great improvement. It's a 5 minute walk from beach access. We will stay again next year.
Loved this campground and the staff. Not on the beach but they have a shuttle to take you there.
Typically we shy away from KOAs because we have had several so-so experiences with them. Clean, spacious campsites, large clean shower house, friendly staff. We were visiting a friend and the staff worked so we could be in the site next to them. Close to Myrtle Beach attractions. Thought it was a little pricey at $70, but it is the season and they can fill the place.
Been camping for 20 years. This has to be in the top 5 places we have stayed. Stayed at site 121 a large and level site. The best part the staff who were extremly friendly and helpful. Thanks
$7 resort fee on top of camping rate, the bath house remodel from last year is complete. Lots heavy with trees, can't use satellite, coax cable non functional with out cable box. Internet is strong and upgraded. Due to increased lot fees and resort fee, doubt will be back with numerous other options in the area.
Clean, well trained and friendly staff. Great experience!
Staff is great. They work with you if you tell them what you need. Shaded well. Cabins are ehhhh but still good. Great for kids. Pretty quiet place even for bike week. Will mostly likely use this place forever. And they do have fire pits.
Stayed here 3 nights. It s one of the KOA resorts , do it s fancier & pricier than the average KOA. Nice, big, level sites. Wooded area. Quiet & full of friendly campers. Saturday night a very good local group (The Paul Grimshaw Band) played for a couple hours in an open air stage that was an unexpected treat. We enjoyed our stay and would come back.
