This could be a really nice park if somebody took the trouble to clean up, pull weeds, etc. The tennis court is not usable. I would hesitate to sit under the pavillion and if you have children, keep them away from the unmaintained playground equipment. Wifi is fine and the setting is gorgeous. Sites are flat to sloping; just depends on the site. Huge, beautiful old-growth trees. If using satellite, check your site for unobstructed signal, due to those beautiful trees. OK for overnight and road noise from the highway is not very loud.
nice people. great amenities and very well kept.
Very nice folks and a great place to stop. Close enough to Nashville to enjoy and far enough away to relax! Easy access spots!
As stated by another user , the campground is now a KOA . This is our first KOA and we are not impressed. I hope the others are better. Kinda run down. Several full time residents. Lots of highway noise. Electricity had reversed polarity. Water spigot very close to the ground hard to hook up hose. Almost every campsite has multiple blocks under their stabilizer jacks just to level their units. Overall not impressed. But to be fair they maybe in the process of improving the place. Ok for an overnight stay if passing through , but that's about it. Probably won't be back , except for an overnight stay.
We came here unexpectedly due to car maintenance & did not have time to read reviews prior to our stay. If I would have, I probably would not have came here due to the negative reviews. HOWEVER, we have had such an exceptional time here! I'm actually glad I didn't read them! Customer service has been top notch. From Ron stepping outside after hours to help us find someone to fix the truck, helping attach our license plate after the zip ties from the dealership broke, to the receptionist, Olivia who has been walking a stray dog that wondered on the camp site & looking for its owner for the past two days! The staff here is very knowledgeable and helpful. My husband and I have had an overall wonderful experience. Give this place a try! Oh--another plus--clean bathrooms!
Don't bother stopping. This one Isn't up to par with what I expect from a KOA. We pulled in about 5:00. No one was at the counter and had to ring a bell for service. The attendant came out of a back room looking as if I had just woken her up. We went to our assigned spot to find the next spot filled with 5 parked cars, 2 of which were parked in our RV spot. We returned to the office to request another space and were told that was the last one. The attendant even said "oh they're all back again? They'll move if we ask them." Refused to refund our money...we left even without a refund. Will be calling KOA corporate in the morning. Have never seen such a poor excuse of a KOA. Sept 13, 2015
Had a problem with power and were told they were tired of campers complaining about rain. We were not complaining about rain!!
Nice place. Showers and bathrooms very clean. Ron was very nice. Will stay here again!
We drove to this KOA from South Carolina crossing a time zone, loosing an hour. We got to the park at 11:00 a.m. The lady that checked us in charged us an extra $10.00 early check in fee even though there were empty sites! We were both really angry but didn't want to drive back down the 2.1 mile narrow frontage road to find a place to park until the 1:00 p.m. check in time! Our site was on the side of a small hill. We had a difficult time getting our motor home level. We have been traveling across country since mid April. This is the first place that has treated us this way. The bath rooms were old and worn out. I would not recommend this park.
The owners of this KOA are really great people. They bend over backwards to make people happy. The rest of the staff were hardworking and accommodating. The bathrooms and showers are very clean and nice. The laundry room was very nice. Every thing is decorated so well. The decorations make for a comfortable homey atmosphere. I just can’t imagine the staff that I got to know, being rude. We love our time here!
Typical KOA, which is not a bad thing. Clean, well maintained and landscaped. Helpful friendly staff. Stayed 2 nights. Most sites have some shade. Shopping and Nashville attractions are just down I-40. And check out the drive in theater in Watertown if you ve never been to one.
