Reviews for Niantic / I-95 Exit 72 KOA

I was told at the Springfield RV show on 2/19/17 by a KOA vendor that they had purchased this property and will be remodeling and reopening as a KOA this spring. He's got a long row to hoe. I wish him well.

| Not really for travelers!

This is more of a trailer park and pretty run down. I will say the staff is helful and went out of thier way to get us situated when it was 9pm and we could not find any RV parks in the area that answer their phones after 4pm. We stayed one night - cash only ($40) - but the man waited up for us and helped us park.

$45. Sewer is limited to gray water only. I thought this curious, but shrugged and paid the fee, since my gray tanks fill much faster. Campsite had no sewer hookup, so I suppose the management intended to simply release gray water on the ground. I'm good with that.

After paying for a month I wanted to leave early and was told no refunds after they told me they would refund me if I wanted to leave early when I got there before I handed them the insane amount they wanted for a month. One person that works here was very rude and the park was nasty and no sewer hookups and wifi didnt work where I was. After the month I was finally able to escape this place!

| Not worth the money they are asking for it.

On their website it said said it was under new management and a KOA. On another review it stated they had cleaned up about 90% of the sites. If this is cleaned up it's still not worth the money. Was told we had gray water but the drain was clogged and unusable. No wifi and no cable. This is the place campers come to die. Should have closed this season for transient site until it was cleaned up and let the seasons clean up their sites. It will a few years and lots of money to bring to up to KOA standards.

Stayed a short time, couldn't wait to leave. This place is a dump! Went to Aces High and none to soon. A buddy that stayed behind said the seasonals there dont like the traveling contractors and gave him of bunch of BS and trouble.

We had planned to stay at Rocky Neck State Park but they had no electric sites so the park staff sent us to Niantic KOA with an assurance that it was under new ownership...we pulled in after 930pm in a pouring down rainstorm and no reservation....the night staff met us, escorted us to site and insisted on helping with setup....that is great customer service...brand new shower house...one of the cleanest i have been in...would stay again
