I agree with the other review, sites can be small if your in a big rig and if you are traveling with a buddy but the beauty out weighs that. There is plenty of places to sit and lots of walking places. It is older but we go time and time again. We camp in an RV

Asked to reserve place in advance offered to pay was told did not need to there would be plenty. Called just before arriving and was told they was full. River Country had plenty and very good service. Better than being lied too.

I agree with the other review found it had to deal with staff on getting reserved

| Pretty good

Love the fact it has trees and you can walk to the park. Has a pretty good pool and good bathrooms. The negative you can only reserve every other site so if you travel with a buddy you may not can get next to each other plus some of the sites are kind of close if your in a big rig with slides but still we return there many times!

Really enjoyed our 4 days and 3 nights. We were told we didn't need a reservation and I think it's because they only reserve half of the sites. We used a map to ID the sites we would reserve for our next stay. Proximity to the park is a big plus. The park is kind of dated but we don't use the public restroom/showers. Our kids loved it!!!

Full hookup $22 a night. Shady spots. Nice showers house, bathroom area. Handicapped access. Nice playground and pool for the family. WiFi is good, cable. I would recommend it.

Ok park, I could see it being cramped in warmer months though. We are here in January. Showers are clean warm with hot water. Water connections on some of the spots are greater than 25', they have spickets coming up from the ground (frozen) and also have connections in the ground(covered in mud). They finally moved us to the spot we asked for to begin with where the water line was wrapped with heat tape. Lots of barking dogs in surrounding areas.

Just wanted to make an addendum to earlier review. Hot water s lukewarm. On Friday the hot water tank was replaced, they must have set it at a lower temp, water is no longer hot just lukewarm now..

Stayed only one night, but it was the greatest Wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back but for a longer stay. Staff was very friendly.

| Family oriented, shady, convenient, simply a pleasure.

Great campground and convenient to shopping and attractions. A great get away close to home. Staff are great and very accommodating. Price is right. We had an extended stay and couldn’t have been more pleased.

| Nice park but noisy.

Nice park, great staff very friendly and helpful. After dark there were lots of kids running everywhere screaming, very loud, although they did settled down some by the 10 pm quiet hours. Then the icing on the cake was around 1 am when a large group of drunks cranked up the music and singing for about an hour, I don't know if the park host said something or they just got cold or tired but it finally died down so we could get some sleep around 2 am. Nice place in most every other way, maybe we just picked the wrong night..... It was a Friday.

We go down twice a year from Marycille (near Knoxville). for 3 to 4 weeks. It's not perfect but the most economical campground that we stay in. We hav,e family in Hokes Bluff which is only minutes away.

We have stayed here a few times on our travels and always enjoy it. The spaces are on wooded spots, large, nice facilities. However the location near the falls, the park, zoo all 1000 feet from your campground...that's special. Since are last visit you can now walk out of your site and be on an intricit trail system for hiking or mountain biking. Walk off some of those long days in the seat. If you don't want to cook just walk across the park to restaurants. This is a special stop!

So quite, older camp ground but great for a stop over.

| Barely good enough for overnight.

The sites are tight, I had a concrete pad, but around them, its all dirt and nice big trees, so there's shade. The roads are decent, but have mostly broken blacktop with voids. The price was great ($22). I need two water hoses, two sewer hoses, and my 50A extension. I guess I'd come back, but not before looking around.

We spent one night here but wish we could have stayed one more so we could have taken advantage of the wonderful hiking trails. Friendly and helpful staff. SPOTLESS bathrooms. Cable hookup was a plus. The sites are small and some are in need of improvement. Also the roads to the sites were not as clearly marked as I would have liked. That is the only reason I didn t give it a five. Would come back here.

Sites are kinda tight. Water hook ups are not far. Sewer is right at the discharge. Concrete pads. But it is very tight backing in, don t feel bad if you have to try a few times to avoid turning the front of your truck into the neighbors car across the road. Very nice.
