Great Campground

This campground was our home for 6 months from April thru October and we loved every day of it. The family that owns it are doing a great job. The place is clean and family friendly with a pool, playground, rec hall, fishing pond and access to Lake Tillery. They have tent spots to full 50 amp hookups and good wifi throughout the property. The owners will help with anything you need and escort you to your spot and help hook up if needed. We will definitely return of fate allows. Highly recommended.

Five Star People

We were looking for a campground with fishing and a playground for a trip with our granddaughter. We all had a great time and granddaughter caught her first fish in the stocked pond and enjoyed playing with other kids. We arrived late and Richard guided us to the site and made sure we were set. This is a decades old park and the new owners are slowly making improvements. Sites near the front are spacious and clean. The back of the park, well, looks like where old trailers go to die. I believe management is working on this. Some progress is evident - online reservation form and pretty good wi-fi, for example. Some safety items: dead tree leaning over playground and rebar sticking out of the ground need to addressed. This park has great potential and I hope the family-owners can invest enough to make it happen. All said, we’ll return. So five star folks running a three star park gives me four stars.

Very Dissapointed

We made our reservation in January for a 2-3 month stay beginning March 27. When I made the reservation I was told they don't usually rent long term sites to rigs over 15 years old, ours is 18. When we arrived we were shown to a site in the back of the park that was the most un-level I had ever seen in 20+ years of RV ing. The site was a muddy mess that we sank 6 inches when finally level. Neighboring camp sites had 20 or more year old trailers in them resembling an RV junk yard. My surge protector blew when hooked up. Cable TV not very strong signal. WIFI was great. We left after 1 night and spent 3 nights at camp Walmart before finding another campground. Upon leaving we were asked if we would consider moving to 1 of their better sites up front. Since we were prepared to spend $1500 for 3 months why were we not made that offer from the get go?

Run down
By user-6052589... on 2019-08-09.
Stayed here over the weekend, lots of sites of mobile homes in need of repair, numerous sites are long term and are completely trashed! had children asking me for food and the mother who made herself quite at home with my husband. She lived at the campground with her children. Asked us for money to play bingo!! Bath houses were filthy as well. The sites were the least level I have ever seen in my life. Stay away! Also we were playing guitar at 730 and the owner told us to be quiet...

Norwood RV Park
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
We had a reservation for 2 months, we pulled in and right back out. This is not a Good Sam park, every site is back in, bathhouse looked like an outhouse. Every lot and road is dirt and gravel, mostly dirt. The playground was a joke, old outdated equipment in a dirt lot. Can not receive packages there, was told to rent a box in town.
