| Cute park!

We only stayed overnight but found this park to be quite nice. The camp host greeted us at the gate because we arrived just after dark. Happy Hour was still going on and there were campers out walking their dogs. Really clean and nice shower facility. Well lit. Short walk to beach. Dogs allowed on the beach at the campground. Close to the Naval Aviation Museum. Would stay there again.

Stayed three nights, great park friendly people regulars still meeting at 4:00 for social hour and all are welcome. Very clean showers and laundry. If you want to visit the light house and climb to top go on the weekend, they are renovating and you can't go to the top during the week. Not sure how long that will last. We stayed in 42' 5th wheel no issue with space at pad.

Excellent facilities. Bath house cleaned twice a day. Staff extremely helpful. Every day at 4 there is a happy hour in gazebo and the regulars welcome everyone to this event. Very knowledgeable campers.

Made our reservation through Navy Getaways but extended through the office when Cindy hung off the coast and drenched us. Fair drainage on our pad. Nice camp. Good staff. Excellent access to Naval Air Museum, Gulf Coast and other local attractions. Stable power, good WiFi and OK Cable TV.

| Bad start but GREAT stay

We love visiting the NAS but this was our first stay at Oak Grove. Well we arrived after dark and the hosts were great getting us to our site. But when I hooked up the water we found out we had a busted water line. Fixed that but still had a leak. What saved the day was that the park has a GREAT very clean bathhouse. We stayed four nights and never had to wait at the bathhouse. It's cleaned twice a day. Our site was about 20 yards from the bathhouse and just a short walk to the beach. This was also our first trip with our two dog(lad mix and blue heeler) they are allowed on the beach on leash. So yes this is some where we will be back too hopefully soon.

Most sites are too close together. A lot of snowbirds here. Nice overnite place to stay. Nice walking on the beach. Needs some road maintenance because of potholes in limerock road. Was a million acorns on ground that could be cleaned up. Acorns along with squirrels on the roof woke me up a couple nights. Power has reverse polarity on 30amp, host called into base electrician but was not fixed while I was there.

| Great Navy Milcamp

Had made reservations to stay 1 night, but after arriving we decided we would like to stay longer. Wife asked at the office, and they happen to have a cancellation for the next day. The next morning, the office called and told us they had a cancellation to the following Monday. So we were able to stay for 5 days, and spent time at the Naval Museum with our cousins, and visited the Lighthouse. On Friday night we attended a birthday party for the wife of the camp host. Park was clean, great bathrooms and showers. Spots are not real tight like another reviewer claimed. All sites have good access to hookups located in one spot. Sites are well marked, and full concrete pads. Lots of trees. Only problem we had was the West Gate closest to the Campground closes at 1700hrs, and weekends closes early or isn't open. So it was rather inconvenient to drive all the way to the Main Gate when we were out late. But that's understandable, since there may not be much traffic after 1700 for the West Gate.

Loved this campground. We were there for three nights. Great location, clean and well kept. Bathhouse very clean. Sites too close together was only downside. Definitely will visit again.
