Reviews for Olive Ave RV resort

| Very nice park

By user-5025060... on 2017-10-23.

We were lucky to stay here as it is a gem hidden away in Vista, Ca. The young couple who manage are very proud of the park and do everything they can to insure your stay is great. The facilities are nice, a pool and jacuzzi. The pet park has bark and the guests are supposed to scoop. It gets rinsed down a couple of time a week which keeps the urine smell at bay and waters the plants at the same time. There is a little noise from surrounding neighborhood s, but seemed very quiet after 10pm. Would stay here again. Can accommodate 45 ft.

| Nice clean park

Spent June and half of July 2016 here. Nice clean park with concrete pads and sandy picnic table space next to your rig. Can also fit two cars. The center lanes are pull through with back-in sites along the edges. Permanent residents are next door while all the temporary folks are in the resort. Cable and WiFi are typical. Gas station and 7-11 across the street. Centrally located between old town Vista and the numerous malls off Highway 78. Easy highway on/off. I like the front loading washers. The pool is small but adequate during heatwaves and showers are clean. Everyone we met were friendly and they added staff during the summer to handle administration. The pads do lean forward and our class A fully extended the jacks, so we bought wood at Home Depot and used the provided tire blocks to level the coach. Would come again when in the area. Make reservations as the park fills up during summer weekends and holidays.

This park will not allow any rigs or trailers older than 1998. I have a fully restored Vintage 1955 Airstream and was told after sending them photos of it that "corporate " policy will not even allow exceptions. Their desire is to maintain a "standard". I'm sure there will be plenty of folks that will be happy to read this but then I think there will be plenty who will be turned off by it.

| Ok, worked for us.

Ok park. All sites are concrete but very slanted. Good news is they provide 2 wood ramps for your front tires. Park is pretty clean. Right next store but accessible within the park is a long term park with run down trailers, etc and some sketchy people. One night someone opened our door and freaked us out. Claimed to be at the wrong Rv. Prob an accident as it is a bit dark at night here. All other things were fine. Good mix of high end rigs and us regular folk :) we stayed here to be close to Legoland in late Jan,2016.

We are here now and see a huge improvement since our stay here last summer. The area that has been cleared by the door opening is the best improvement . stepping out into dead flowers was terrible. New managers are familiar with rv parks have good idea of what a park needs if owners will listen Will now recommend this park. Wouldn't before.

This place is less than 15 minutes to the beach. Our family really enjoyed our stay here. All sites are paved. The site includes cable tv. The pool was refreshing. Good cell reception. Close to shops. Nice clean park.Friendly staff.

| Vista?

By user-5818127... on 2017-10-23.

This park is in Vista, California. Not near the beaches, nor Legoland, yet they think they are so special they will not permit RV's older than 1995?? Not worth the price or hassle. Much better parks in better neighborhoods closer to beaches for same price.

| Bad service

By user-4796369... on 2017-10-23.

The lady working at the counter was awful to deal with. The place was unhelpful and after traveling hours to get there, they turned paying customers with 2 small children away on a hot day because our class A didn't meet there year quota by a couple years. Not to mention they didn't have info on that anywhere when we read about it.

| Nice park, not great area

We actually loved our experience here overall. We were here for two weeks. Pool and bathrooms was nice/clean and kept up. Management good. Spaces landscapes and nice. Clubhouse a nice touch. It’s in a sketchy area of town but super close to nicer areas. I would jog every morning on the streets and it was fine. Vista is a nice, cute town. Amazing parks for kids nearby. Oceanside, of course, was amazing.

| Too expensive!

By user-6624137... on 2018-05-17.

The rates are way too high for the area and for the neighborhood in the town and for what you're getting. $1,400 a month plus electric? Too much.

| Unfriendly staff

We stayed at the campground for one night.unfortunately, the restrooms were disgusting and the staff very rude

Nice enough. Nice staff. Clean. In city with most , if not all, long term folks. Really a mobile home park with folks living in RV. All concrete pads. Most sites not level and need blocks. Shares drive with SW mobile home park. No fence.

| To Expensive for what you get

By user-5099046... on 2019-08-09.

This place is basically a parking lot for RVs. They just raised the summer and winter rates 1400 for Winter and 1750 for summer. It was barely worth it at the old summer rate 1400. Also calling this a resort is laughable. They have a laundry mat, a very small pool and hot tub and that is it. Oh and I all most forgot to mention that all the sites are so unlevel that you have to use the provided wood blocks that are approximately 15 inches tall otherwise you will never level your rig. I saw an overnighter the other day with both of his steer tires a foot or more off the ground. We were lucky and locked our rate at the old summer rates. We will not be staying here for future visits.
