This is a great place nice folks and very clean. And great oranges during season just pick them right outside your RV.
I gave it a 3 for couple of reasons. First, staff not friendly, 3 hour lunch from 11-2, ants galore & they don't tell you that when checking in. Large park, not enough washers/dryers for its size. The spaces are easy to get into but rather close to each other. When we got there the entrance was under construction & we had to enter thru the exit which they should have told us when we called. A 45' MH & towing doesn't lend itself to making mistakes on roads. Would not stay there again because of ant infestation.
On the site info. Not sure what that other phone number is that someone posted about
We stayed one night, price $39.00 for full hook up pull through. Plenty of room for our Truck and 30 foot trailer. Saw many pushers that were towing a vehicle and fit just fine. Nice clean bathrooms, dogs allowed with a run (we didn't use it so I can't comment on that). A few grassy areas but no dogs allowed on them. Clean park, nice staff, good price, oranges to pick when in season, and pretty sunset. Easy access off freeway and very little freeway noise despite how close. Very friendly full timers as well. They have a pool and a minimally stocked store. CONS: Trains, counted 5 between 230 and 530. But this is not the fault of the park but thought I should mention it.
We stopped in dec and was told to pick a couple bags full of oranges...the sites are in the orznge grove
This park is a special discovery! It is in the middle of an orange grove. The sites are very long and wide. Very nice compared to many RV parks. Plenty of room for rigs of any size. Quiet, clean, and nice staff. Nearby store with oranges, nuts, and dried fruit is fabulous. We love this park. WiFi works well.
Great RV Campground, Tuesday while in Bakersfield California bathrooms are extra clean the staff is very friendly and helpful and a Beautiful park.
A little out of our way, but glad we stayed! Very clean and very nice staff. Bathrooms are very clean. Cable tv worked great! If we come through here again, we will stay again.
Fun picking oranges on last day of season. Scent of orange blossems overwhelming. Clean washrooms and showers with train whistles all night.
760-333-0617, they changed to Google yesterday, so that's the new number..nice place clean and has a pool to cool off in
Quiet and peaceful !!! Very hot, the pool is fantastic. Clean showers and laundry.
Well maintained. Clean friendly $30.00 for water and electric Love this place.
No oranges, but lots of trees. Big spaces and very nice showers. Would stay here again
They have all the discounts including Military. The park itself is clean, clean, CLEAN! The staff is uber friendly and helpful. We didn't see any ants like another review said. We came in for an overnight, but liked it so much we decided to stay an extra night. We will be planning an extended stay for later in the spring. Oh- be sure to check out the Lodge!
Free reasonable free oranges are in a season the first very nice park when you coming Bakersfield
Great park. Large. Lots of oranges for picking in season. Check out the lodge (club house). Very nice. Stayed last night. Restrooms extra nice and laundry also. Husband was not as pleased. One toilet and one shower didn't work but hopefully just a fluke.
Great park! Sparking clean facilities. Clean pool and lodge. Very nice staff and a good price. Very large pull through sites, wide and long to accommodate the largest rigs. Stayed in a 37ft 5er..
Exit 119
We have stayed here often on our way to Las Vegas. Friendly and accommodating staff, all utilities work great and well positioned, free oranges when ripe and some road/train noise that didn't bother us. Nice being outside the city limits. Will stay here when we need a place in Bakersfield.
I only stayed one night but if I was back in the area I would stay here again. Friendly people, the park is clean. The bathrooms are clean. And there are always oranges to be picked
It's been quite some time since we've stayed at Orange Grove RV. I'd forgotten just how spacious the sites are & how beautiful of a park (considering its California desert location) it is. Bakersfield has a couple of pretty nice parks. We often prefer to stay in town and this park is a little ways out. This trip I wanted to be able to leave the dinghy hooked up (which can be a problem at the in town parks we use) and be able to be as close to the Tehachapi summit as possible due to the prediction of strong winds. Our site was everything I needed. Very friendly young lady checked us in.
We really enjoyed this place. Great room for our fifth, lots of dog walking areas with poop stations. The shower/bathroom and the laundry was spotless! Mother/Daughter management team was so very responsive to our needs. Free coffee and donuts every morning, and free orange picking in the winter. Its only 8 miles from Bakersfield with easy on and off of highway 58. Lovely park!
I like the layout and design of this park, and the office people were very friendly, but it needs some serious TLC. Restroom/shower room was wonderfully warm, and everything worked, but it needs remodeling. Interior roads are dirt with potholes full of water.
Loved my stays at Orange Grove RV Park. It's obvious that the owner cares about the park and the office staff under the professional management of Laurie Ray is delightful. Fresh oranges were a treat. All you do is literally walk out your RV door and start picking. Showers were super clean and there is also a laundry facility. Pet owners will love the many dog run areas too. Every morning the office serves fresh coffee and amazing fresh donuts. The donuts are made fresh by a local bakery and it is efforts like this that make Orange Grove RV Park stand apart. Whether just driving through the Bakersfield area or in for an extended stay, you are going to want to make Orange Grove RV Park a regular stop on your travels.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Good size sites. I think all or most are pull through. Plenty of oranges to pick and they provide picking baskets free to help. Dog friendly. Small but nice green grass dog park. Only stayed one night because we had to meet friends further north but would definitely stay here again. $40 full hookup.
Very nice park! Utilities connections are easy to use. Suggestion, locate a dumpster near the Orange Blossom Lane South activities building. We will stay here again.
Clean park, easy in/out. Wifi marginal, and spaces close together. The trains go by all night - blowing whistles! Very tiny dog area for off leash, but plenty of good on leash walking areas. Staff is friendly. Very Good for a stopover.
A great park, every site is large and pull through. Very clean park! Most definitely a keeper.
Good place. To bad its in calif. Got to pick oranges. Huge place, doubt you would ever need a reserv.
Quiet, clean, large pull-through spots and easy hook-ups! Pool, pet friendly and a place to wash your car and/or rv. Bonus, it's an orange grove and when the oranges are ripe, pick all you want. They're big and delicious!
Nice large and very attractive RV park with many orange trees throughout, but there are issues. Paved streets make for easy access to your large pull through lot but everywhere else is filled with gravel with lots of dirt and dust. Can't help but bring dirt and pebbles into your coach. Zero grass! Most importantly, trains go by every 30 minutes, 24 hours a day blasting their horns. Add to that the highway traffic noise and it makes for a difficult nights sleep. Honestly, I liked the park visually, with all the right modern amenities but the trains drove us crazy. Give it a try as long as you are aware of the issues. Priced at $45 with Good Sam's Discount. Big Rig and dog friendly.
We love this park, we stay here frequently on our trips. The spots are level concrete and long enough to accommodate our tow. A couple of nice little dog parks. The WiFi works well. We will definitely stay here again.
May be our last visit to this lovely RV park because the daily rate for full hook-up has gone to $50 a night, that includes a GS discount. This was our 6th visit, luv the setting in the orange grove and they have all amenities + more. Only thing missing is a hot tub!
Great highway access. Pull through gravelled pads. Newish and clean bathrooms and showers. Second time we have stayed here. Plus pick your own oranges that were delicious. Wish we had picked more now.
Orange Grove RV Park is a lovely, clean, quiet great place to camp. Freight trains run all night and blow the whistle, so that was a bit frustrating. Picking fresh oranges, goes without saying, is the coolest part! Lovely fruit market walking distance down the road with lovely products. Would definitely stay here again.
I like many snowbirds have stayed at Orange Grove for years. It's a nice place to stay heading south or north. It's now $50 per night. That's just too much. It's in an orchard, in agricultural country. It's not on the Pacific or some mountain lake somewhere. I won't stay here again; unless they lower their rates.
We stayed one night passing thru. Campground is pretty spread out. Pick oranges by your camper which is super fun! Bathrooms are clean with plenty of space and hot water. We didn't use laundry or other amenities durning our stay. Road noise is a little loud and there is a train track close that was loud a few times late and early in the morning.
