The first time we stayed at the park we were treated like family. The owners want to make sure everyone has a pleasant stay. Nice pool, new laundry facility, quiet, paved roads , nice size sites and awesome dog park. We have come back for 3 one month stays in 2015.
Owners Rob and Brenda are just as nice as they can be! If you have time, be sure to check out the quaint main street in Mt Dora, about 5 miles north off Old 441.
This is a very nice, friendly campground. New Owners are fantastic and keep the park immaculate. The park has very good free wifi and is very convenient to Mt. Dora and Orlando. The paved interior roads are big rig friendly and the gravel sites are spacious. Good utilities. We would return to this park again if in the area.
"Delightful small towns surround this Orlando-area KOA, welcoming you with a busy roster of festivals, fairs and antique shows. Check out nearby Mount Dora, popular for its arts-and-crafts fairs and classic boat regattas on Lake Dora. You can also hunt for treasures at the World Famous Renningers Antique and Flea Market. Gardeners will love Apopka, known as the Indoor Foliage Capital of the World. With easy access of US-441 and SR-429, this KOA is just 15 minutes from downtown Orlando and an easy drive to Orlando-area theme parks and golf courses too. A 38,000 gallon swimming pool, sparkling bathrooms and tropical landscaping await at the campground, along with large, grassy sites (choose open sites or sites shaded by stately oaks). Look for ongoing improvements to this property, one of the newest campgrounds in the KOA system."
