This is an excellent campground. A real jewel at a modest price
Self-registration slips are at the kiosk and you have to loop around to approach the dump which is incorrectly placed in the back corner of this beautifully manicured new CG. While I was trying to clean my tanks, the male host startled me (and snickered) twice. The first time to tell me that I could NOT dump unless I was staying, and the second time to tell me which sites have 50amp. After a quick walk of the dogs before it got too dark, I returned to find the wife recording my tag info because I had not registered in the first 30 minutes upon arrival at 8pm. She insinuated that I was trying to sneak in without paying. This old couple has obviously forgotten that this is this is not their private property and what "self-registration" actually means. It means that if I want your help, I will ask for it.
In 5000 miles of travel, this was the cleanest campground we found. Sites are level asphalt with water and electricity. Price is $20 for seniors, $25 otherwise. It is easily accessed from the Interstate, and you self register. There is an artificial beach nearby, but we were just interested in an overnight with electricity to escape the heat -- otherwise it would be Wal-Mart. Newer shower/bath facilities are close by. There are several restaurants within five miles or so. There is no shade.
