One of the Kentucky fish and wildlife owned parks this camp ground is about a mile and a half down a gated road so not to many noises from cars. Lots of trees and a small park for little ones. Has electronic and water hookup sites along with a bathroom house.
Fishing, hiking, swimming, hunting (seasons), gun range, etc. If you like rustic state park "feel" with gorgeous woodlands and deer grazing fields and a fast moving trout stream, stay here! Sites nearby include Fort Knox and the Patton Museum. Louisville is close too.
Love this campground! Just wish it was full hookups. Definitely worth the stay tho! Kids have freedom to be kids and you can drive down to the creek to let them play and swim.
