We have camped at the Ottumwa park.. Depends on who is the park host as to the service you get. Most sites are undeveloped gravel. When it rains you have water standing in your site and large mud holes. They have installed some concrete pads, however they are so small a big rig is difficult to park on them. The electrical service is old and you keep tripping out your breakers. There is no sewer hookups, even though they gave a major sewer pipe running thru the campground. Price per night is $15.00 for water and electric. Shower house is old. Provides no place to hang up your clothes while you take a shower. Word of caution. Do not camp there during the "race for the cure". They shut the entire campground down. You are locked out till late afternoon or you are locked in till late afternoon. They could hold the race some where else.

Excellent proximity to River, downtown and shopping. Showers are old but clean. Price was great $17.00/day for fill hook ups. Staff was helpful.

Stayed one night. Staff was friendly. Paid $17. Sites level but a little tight for pulling in and out. Very pretty park setting with lots of birds.
