| 2017 August Greyhaven visit

By user-4693425... on 2017-10-23.

We stayed here 1 night only in our Class A motor home (with toad). Very crowded and full for Saturday in August, height of the vacation season, but we did manage to get a nice pull thru full hook up site by calling ahead. Very friendly and expert staff, who run the campground like a fine tuned machine. The Creekside Cafe has a BBQ in the evenings, with pulled pork and such, and a not-to-be-missed breakfast with fabulous egg breakfast sandwiches and pancakes. Lots of camper cabins to rent, as well as off -road Jeeps for exploring the many high country roads around Ouray. Great free WiFi and excellent cell signal. Close to town (about 2 miles). In August, it was packed with Jeep enthusiasts, so meeting up with some knowledgeable folks is a plus. Did not use bathrooms or pool. Will come stay again!

| Excellent Campground

We really enjoyed this campground. They have a restaurant by the stream with live music, nice patio. Good trees. Well kept. And Ouray is spectacular. Hit the hot springs in town.

| Ouray KOA

We have stayed about a month for the last two summers. Great owners that have a very good staff on board. Very central to everything in the Ouray area. The KOA rents Jeeps to those wanting to get back in the mountains on the old mining trails. This campground would be in the top five of all the KOA CGs where we have stayed over the years. Lots of trees, nice sites varied in sizes, excellent on site cafe serving the owner's Bar B Que several nights a week, often with live music.
