| Oh, the beach

5 miles of open space with a grand view of the Gulf - No services on the open beach but completely free parking and solitude. Go on past Malaquite and the Visitor Center a few miles. Gotta be self contained here but all is amazing. (Did I mention no dozen+ ALL DAY generators as you simply spread out down the beach so you don't hear or smell them.)

Then it would be perfect. But showers they have as well as flush toilets and ample dump sites. No hookups though so count on using a generator (8 am to 10pm) and maybe having to dump occasionally. But for $8--- $4 with your senior card you get a beach that stretches over 60 miles, warm days and cool nites an ocean breeze. Too. Sites are very large mostly level and though there is no space in-between all are on an asphalt pad. Like all NP you can stay up to 14 days first come first served. Or if that doesn't suit... Just go down the beach a ways and park there!

Views are great! No hookups. Dump station close by. Generator quite hours 10 pm - 6am. Mostly level sites. Flush toilets and showers! One bar with Verizon wireless and about 0.6 - 1 Mbs streaming with data card. Walk the beach for miles.

This time for 8 nights which is a long stay for us. Hasn't changed a bit so read the reviews below. They are improving the road (needed it too) so that may cause some delay and a little mud. One thing I forgot to mention is cell service is almost null. You might get 3G for a short time. So be prepared to live off the net for a while. It's a good thing!
