The folks in the other review are butt hurt because they showed up there at 7:45 IN THE MORNING and there wasn't a site available?? Come on!!! This campground was clean, the staff was very friendly, pool is very nice. The whole ambiance of this place was very relaxing and comfortable. I only have it 4 stars only because they need more trash cans located through the park for my dog's poop, and they need a nigher laundry room. Great place all in all and I highly recommend.
This campground was clean, the staff is friendly, pool is nice. The scene is quite wooded, charming and very relaxing. Proximity to downtown Galena is great --- A wonderful town.
Who ever that woman was outside the office this morning at 7:45 she should not be the first contact for visitor's. I was rudely told not find a site to park. I had been driving most of the night. I saw a note on office door saying to find a spot and register when office is open. I'm going somewhere else not ever coming back here .
We booked our site over the phone before we saw the campground. The sights up front are very tight but better if you pick one toward the back of the campground. The people working the front counter were very friendly and accommodating. Over all a nice campground and we have already picked out some good spots for next season.
