Wife found on RV Parky. She called and place sounded fine. I called and reconfirmed that they had a pull through site available. Paid a nights deposit and drove on down. Place was a little run down with a lot of permanent older units. Not a problem. Same lady who I had just talked to on phone greeted us on the drive as we pulled in. Greeted me by saying we dont have any pull throughs. I was so ticked at that point. I explained we would go elsewhere. She then offered a spot next door to the office. At that point I was not about to stay. I asked for her to refund my deposit and drove on. Much nicer park right down the street for less money with better services.
Great area for snowbirds. Friendly and accommodating staff. Noted permanent campers which is good. Facilities are clean. They were building a restaurant/club house when we were there. Seafood restaurants within a mile. Small grocery store. Nearest Walmart and larger stores about half hour away. Pleanty of fishing areas and boat ramps. Quiet and peaceful.
Friendly and helpful staff, clean restroom and laundry facilities. Hard packed sand and grassy areas, lots of shady areas. Great on site restaurant for breakfast/lunch. Would stay here again if we are ever in the area again.
Stayed for the first week of a 6 week trip. Site is 12 miles from huge ACE Hardware store! We had not used RV for 18 months and made several trips. Walmart was just 2 miles farther. Dallas, Mgr. /Owner and Ralph, Maintenance Person we re both Terrific!! Great shade trees, quite setting. Many residents are Year-round and were great to talk to. Rates are low and fair for what you get. I ll stay here again. They are still recovering from Hurricane Michael (4 months earlier).
Shouldn't allow permanent campers, Think about that a minute, they are no longer campers, and there has to be a reason
It's ok if you need a night or two stopover and you're in the area. Site was level but the 30amp tripped with only our A/C running. Husband liked the bath house. Passport America rate was $15 for the 30 amp hookup. Looked like mostly long-term campers here.
