| Beer lovers oasis

By user-4808785... on 2017-10-23.

Crazy selection of regional beers and a great 80's music at the surprisingly good restaurant. The place was packed at 8:30 at night on a Thursday! The campground was nice, with beautiful vistas. Didn't want to leave.

| Three Stars Because of Remote Location

By user-4557224... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2016-02-22 to 2016-02-25

Would have gone with two stars but gave it 3 because it is understandable that service is difficult so far removed from the world in general. Sewer connections likely to be higher than dump valves at some sites (that stuff will not run uphill) and while walking the stinky slinky can be an option, it doesn't work all that well when a p-trap is involved. Only one of two showers worked in the men's room. Only one urinal and it was out of order leaving just one stall in the men's room. Forget about any internet access whether advertised or not. Price is $35/nite full hookups - no discounts for Good Sam, AAA, or anything else. Pizza across the Hwy is good but VERY pricey. Check in is at the gas station across the highway so pull in there first. Can be difficult to contact them via phone because their phone is satellite and service can depend on weather.

| Nice Enough

By user-5810834... on 2017-10-23.

At first glance you won't likely be impressed. But it's the middle of the desert very remote. The restaurant food is quite good if a little pricey. Great selection of beers. The campground is rugged but there are clean restrooms and hot showers. Can't speak for the motel rooms since I've never stayed in one. But the people are nice, and the owner is very cool too. Elevation is 1500' so it stays cooler than I the valley.
