Reviews for Paradise Point RV Park

We stayed at this wonderful little park at site #5 in a Class A. This is a fairly new facility that is limited to self-contained units only. There is no bathhouse, laundry, or wifi. It's attractions are the quietness of the surroundings and the stunning views of the freighter traffic passing by. The facility is right on the water with most sites having a great view of the water. Bring your binoculars! There is also a limited boat launching ramp for small fishing boats, kayaks, etc. If you plan to visit, call ahead for site availability and for the access code to the gate. It was not crowded during our September visit but the limited number of spots is something to consider when traveling to the far eastern end of Michigan's upper peninsula. We would be very happy to stay here again!

Overall a very nice secluded park where you pull your rig strait in with a view of the inlet and the river further out to watch the big ships go by in the distance. No bathrooms or showers so you must be self contained. Also, you must have the gate code prior to getting there. Otherwise you have a problem and it would be difficult to back out of that long dirt driveway. Be aware they do NOT take credit cards! Also, you cannot site outside after dusk, the mosquitoes are vicious. We were sitting around a fire with two groups of other campers when all at once, we all got up simultaneously and high tailed it to our vehicles as we were under attack. This occurred both days we were there. It was just amazing. Herd mentality i guess.

Bring really good optics to see the ships...they are 2 miles out. This is a very quiet park and very peaceful..until the sun goes down and the bugs really come out. The shore is swampy and mud. There are no facilities and no amenities. The water in the sewer pipe is to the top. Bring ALOT of extra hose and sewer hose if you have a fifth wheel. Sites are not back in friendly. We couldn't even open awnings. There is no wifi even though its advertised. If you're looking for a place to park with nothing and are willing to pay high prices for it....then this is your spot. Also 50 amp is not 50 amp here and neither is 30 amp...its split down so far. Microwave and coffee pot tripped the breaker. Definately over priced
