Worse state park we have ever camped in. Sites small and dirty. Most campers need 50' water hose and extention for elec. Shared water hook-up resulted in terrible water pressure. Example: took 58 seconds to fill 12 cup coffee pot. So bad we just had to time it. And campground situated 20 yds from highway-----tractor trailers all night and constant traffic all day. Was having conversation with camphost and we had to stop talking when truck went by. Camphosts nice. With Tn so dependent on tourism we were shocked at condition on this park. Pass it by and go to piney campground 3 miles away.
Loved this park. We love fishing end Kentucky Lake was a fun place to go. Great camp host. Wish the campground had view of water.
Kentucky Lake is right next door. You can't see the water from the campground though. Most sites are tiny but there are a few larger spots. We stayed in spot 20 with a 33 foot TT. Most are shady. Bathrooms were clean, decent showers. Playground for kids. Across Hwy. 79 there's a swimming area. Really the only downside was the traffic noise from Hwy. 79.
