Reviews for Paris Mountain State Park

| Nice quiet park

Great trails. Quiet, clean campground. We had a great stay and got to enjoy our grandsons. Free firewood also. The road in is a bit narrow and twisty. Go slow and be careful. We had no problems in our 33 ft. Class A MH.

| Nice if you can get a level spot

The Park is very quiet and the spaces are nice and the people are nice, but many have a steep grade. Check their website they have the grades and lengths of the sites on there. This was much nicer to stay at than any of the other RV sites near Greenville.

| Winding narrow roads with low hanging branches.

This place is not all rainbows and Unicorns, however, I am driving a 43' MH, so YMMV. The road in (and up) is narrow and winding and barely wide enough for one vehicle. There is no shoulder and you can see many deep tire tracks where previous rigs have run off in to the soft earth. If you get stuck up here, good luck. The sites are extremely unlevel...ALL of them. I took #38 and did okay with rolling up on wood planks, as my levelers were at full extension with my air discharged. Same goes for #40. Site #27 looked okay, but all of them are unlevel. Period. The dump is only accessible on the way out, so you will have to circle the campground first if you need to dump beforehand. There is nowhere to turn around afterwards, so I had to back up the hill to my site, but it was close by. The only other option is to go back down to the entrance and start over. If your unit is over 10' tall and 6' wide, you will be attacked by limbs. My a/c's and side panels were scratched, even at a crawl, and there is no way to avoid them and stay on the road. The ranger said that they were fresh cut and hanging low because they were wet. Gee, maybe they should have taken that in to account when they were trimming them. There must be a lot of trails, but I was not offered a map when I signed in and the markers are not clear up at the campground...oh well. The CG is heavily wooded and beautiful, I will give it that. My advice? Tents and trailers enjoy! Big rigs go elsewhere or proceed with extreme caution.
