| Great Park

We were coming through from West Virginia going home to Nebraska needing a place for over night. Rv parky app showed this little spot. Beautiful park. Very affordable. City pool adjacent and nice clean bathrooms with showers. Picnic tables and fire rings everywhere with 50 amp outlets and water. Disc golf course and great playground area for kids. Has the best wifi we've experienced on this trip at a campground. Great small town. Walmart and gas just a few miles away and tons of eating spots as well. I must say again what a beautiful park. If you're traveling i70 I recommend you drive the few extra miles of the interstate for a surprisingly wonderful place to camp.

| Great little community

My family and I need a place to stay during a busy Memorial Day weekend. This place was great. Very friendly people, community pool access (cost money but nice pool with a slide), and quiet. No pads (grass) but has everything else but cable.

Nice park, nice host. The sites seems somewhat disorganized as to their location. There are no pads to park on and most are level. Otherwise it's a good stop for the night.

| Nice park - A little muddy and not a lot of trees

The campsite was nice in general. The park was quiet and serene. Most of the campsites with trees were already taken up and a lot of the sites were a little small. The pool is actually not part of the campground, it is part of the city park which means you have to pay to get in. They give you a discount for staying in the campground but it can still get steep if you have a lot of people. When we went swimming we were told that the pool closed at 8. We showed up at about 7 so we were going to get an hour of swim time. They called everyone out of the pool at 7:45 and said it was a "rest period". We complained saying that our short one hour of swim time was shortened to 45 minutes due to a misconception that the pool would actually stay open until 8. They were extremely rude and unprofessional and told us to get out. For the record, the pool closes at 7:45. Additionally, it started to rain during our stay at Pastime Park and our campsite was a giant pool. We could barely step out of our campsite without our feet being completely soaked in water. If we would've known our campsite would get so flooded, we would've saved our money and swam at our campsite instead of the public pool. The playground is also a little underwhelming. The bathrooms are clean and the showers are nice. Overall a nice place to stay for a night or so but beyond that it is a little boring and the staff can be rude.

| Management's response to prior review

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.

Hello- In response to the gentleman who left the latest review, I would like to respond as the Director of Parks and Recreation for the Village of Plain City. We are in the process of reworking our entire campground in the fall/winter of 2018 to re-open spring 2019. We realize the current campground needs some revamping, so the sites will be enlarged with gravel pads. Most of our sites have large, mature oak trees for shade. There are some in full sun, but not the majority. We are a large shady public park with a public aquatic center, 2 playgrounds, 9 hole disc golf course, 4 Sand Volleyball courts, 2 basketball courts and baseball diamonds - all open to the public. We apologize if you were bored with your stay. As to the pool, you are correct, we blow the last whistle at 7:45 and the pool closes at 8pm. All of our rest periods are from the quarter til until the hour, so it follows suit that 7:45 would be the time the last whistle is sounded and patrons exit the pool. Our rates are reduced after 4pm, plus campers also get a reduced rate . Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate your input. Sincerely, Linda Granger Director of Parks and Recreation Village of Plain City lgranger@plain-city.com

| Renovating

We stayed over Memorial Day weekend. Great site w/water and electricity. Lots of shade. Easy to walk into town for the parade. The pool was nice with discount being a camper. Great job Mrs Granger. They are in the process of renovation. Because of rain our site became muddy the last night. Due to tornado in area the town alarm went off many times. We, along with other campers, stayed in the bathhouse until around 1:30 am. No park personnel checked on us.

| Lovely park

Green grass, lovely shade trees. Only one site has full hook-ups. Most have water and electricity. There is a dump. Peaceful park with a little trail to walk on. Nice playground for the kids. Public pool at o e end of the park. Would stay here again. Plain City has some of the friendliest people I have ever met.
