Reviews for Payne's RV Park

Stayed here while visiting Mobile. Rate for three nights averaged $23 (using 2 nights PPA). Owners very nice and helpful. we had a pull thru facing the pond. Yes there ducks, not a lot and much less messier than many Golf Courses I've been on. Parking is on level grass. Services ok, Verizon worked on 4 G. We stayed here in our MH so we did not use the bathhouse or laundry. Yes there are many long term residents but the park is generally well kept. Would stay here again. My 3 stars rating = average or above for the price.

| Nice Little Park

Looked like some long term renters there, but plenty of pull thru spaces available. Fairly level grass covered sites. Not all cramped together. We were only there for overnight, but would stay again if in the area. Very reasonable rates. $27/night

| Rustic Park

Lots of room to walk around pond and park. Plenty of ducks and geese waddling around the property. Large RV spaces but needs some tree trimming to keep them from hitting units as they are still small. Located off the main road kept the noise down to a minimum. Paid $27

| Quiet night

Was a little nervous on the drive there but pleasantly surprised once we arrived . Level for grass parking and extremely quiet. Ducks and geese next to the pond was a nice treat.

| What a nice park!

This is a very nice RV park. It is very well kept with full hookups including 50 amp electrical service. WiFi was not working well but they were working to improve it. The staff is friendly and gave me a great recommendation for a seafood restaurant. There is a lot of open space and a pond. It very quiet and peaceful. Nearly all spaces are pull-through sites, plenty long enough for our 40 foot 5th wheel. We will definitely be back.

| Lots of Birds for Entertainment

Basic park, friendly staff, used Passport America so the rate was fair, pull through sites were roomy, and a serene pond with several species of ducks and geese. Other birds to watch and enjoy too. Easy water and sewer hook ups. Did not use tv cable or wifi so can't comment on same. Laundry and bath house. Shower (one for men and one for women) - clean and roomy. 2 - washers and 2 dryers ($2 per load - most we have paid all winter). Dumpster was on the exit road out of the park. Convenient for a less expensive stay but reasonable drive to visit the sights at Dolphin Island and vicinity.

| Cash only

If you are traveling, know that this is a cash only park. People seemed nice enough, but it would have been nice to know that.

| Website is false...very misleading

We arrived at this rv park for one night on a long trip to Texas. We chose this park because their website boasts new free cable and WiFi. My husband is in grad school and had a paper to finish so Internet is a necessity. When we arrived, we were told they only accept cash. That was weird, but luckily we had $40. Then the lady didn t have change and had to dig into her own purse to get the $10 we were owed. Who only takes cash but doesn t keep change? Very unprofessional. Then we were told that they have NO WIFI OR CABLE. Wow...false advertising! This was infuriating as we felt very misled. We parked on our grass site while dodging the numerous mud holes on the road. This park was a mud pit and not at all worth what we paid...especially since they lie on their website with what they offer!

| could do better

dirt, pot holes, not landscaped as claimed on their website. also, price very high, came in based on passport and charged $25...when asked if the normal rate is $50..she stated $40 and then lots of local taxes. not what is noted on passport. power good..many run down campers. would go elsewhere next time
