Reviews for Peacock Meadows Riverside RV Park & Campground

| Nice Overnite!

Stayed in pull-thru site #23 with a motorhome an Jeep toad. Easy access to and from I-160 and a great place for us to pause before making the climb to Wolf Creek Pass heading West. Owners are investing in the property with new or renovated buildings including laundry and family gathering/eating facilities. The park would be a nice base camp to explore the South Fork region. We would be happy to stay here again!

Newest rv park in South Fork. Exceptionally nice bath house and restrooms. Would be 5 stars if it had trees and landscaping. Great base camp for exploration of the area. River access for fishing or rafting.

| Great RV Park

Great new Park. Managers are really nice and helpful. Camp sites are spaced out enough you don't feel like you're camping on top of each other. They have planted trees and once those get bigger, it will be even better. Bathrooms are really nice and the fishing pond is a nice place to relax. We didn't catch anything in the pond, but we caught a few in the river. Our favorite part was being able to fit our large 5th wheel in the campsite and have plenty of room to park the truck, too! Nothing was hanging out in the road and we has plenty of room to walk around everything. We are definitely staying here again when we are in the area.

In a town loaded with rv parks, this one stands out. Only two years old and everything is maintained immaculately. Large sites with some space between them. The trees haven't grown yet so there's not much shade. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. A number of people come for a few weeks or a month or two to escape the heat in the summer. Our temps over a week ranged from 75 - 48. It can be windy. Beautiful scenery nearby; great hiking; great ATV riding so I'm told. We came for two days and stayed a week. WiFi terrific. Verizon good, too. Easy walk down to the South Branch of the Rio Grande. Bath house and laundry great.

We stayed 5 nights and at first was a great place to stay with full hookups for large rigs. We were told they had the best wifi in the area but due to a squirrel or rabbit damaging their service before we arrived it never was fixed before we left. We only learned this after we went back to the office when we couldn't connect. My husband relies on internet for his job so this was quite inconvenient! Also when we checked in we found out they have a no refund for any reason policy which wasn't the case when I booked in January (especially having a young son-in-law with stage 4 colon cancer)! The last straw for us was having the manager come out of nowhere on his golf cart and pulling up behind me saying I was speeding in the campground. I really tried to abide by the 5 mph limit but I may have been going 7. My husband went over to talk to him and he was very rude! Also, they don't have enough trash bins because the whole time we were there they were overflowing! We will give our money to someone else!

| Well Managed RV Park

We have stayed here for 3 months and have really appreciated the Park Managers Debra and Ron and co - hosts Cindy and Mike. The park is kept extremely clean, sites are spacious, laundry and bathroom facilities spotless and great rec hall for family gatherings and the weekly potlucks. We appreciate the rules in place and "tight ship" they run. Regarding the bad review about the speed limit of 5mph, the managers are only trying to protect the safety and enjoyment of their guests. During our visit we have witnessed many times the the total disrespect of the speed limit, which jeopardizes the children in the area, people walking their pets and those wanting to enjoy the outdoors. As to the internet, it was reported in the newspapers that the Verizon service was unable to accommodate the large number of visitors starting in early July. The 360 degree view at this park is beautiful.

Very clean and peaceful park! The dog park is fantastic and very clean! The Saloon is a nice touch with clean restrooms and showers! Only complaint we had was the wifi internet signal. We were parked in the middle of the park and we couldn't keep a signal at all.
