| Poor sites

Most sites are unlevel and close together. Interior road is in need of major repair. Campground is on a state highway and has lots of noise. Although part of the Blue Ridge Parkway, it is on the state highway. Dump station.

| Great Park for Boondocking in your RV

We stayed here for four days and loved every minute. The sites were very spread out, the forest was very quiet, and within walking distance to the lodge. We used a very long and separated pull-through site, but be sure to check the map and photos because some are just wide spots in the road. Be ready to boondock - There is a water fill, dump station, and primitive restrooms with running water - but there are no RV hook-ups. If you like hiking and nature then this is place for you. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit. Great get-a-way if you're there in the right season. Usually 10 -12 degrees cooler in the summer than the lower elevations. Park is DIRECTLY off of the Blue Ridge Parkway so you can't beat it if you are driving the BRP.
