Reviews for Penninsula State Park

| Big Rig? No Way!

Your first hint that your big rig will not work here is the narrow entrance. Once you are directed to park in the too-small parking sites - so that you can check in - you have your second hint. Roads too narrow, tough, tight turns through the campground will lead you to your campsite that you cannot wedge into. Go to Egg Harbor campground where you can easily navigate through the campground.

Have no idea what the last person was thinking when he gave it two stars. We have a 42 foot RV. You have to plan your site!! Great trails, sites and fishing. Nice boat dock and friendly staff.

| Beautiful park - hard to get a campsite

Very popular campground. Killed us we had to camp elsewhere. Very tight selection for large campers; limited availability and tight spaces. No water at sites. Some no electric. But the park is so wonderful it would have totally been worth the crowded conditions & less on-site amenities to be able to stay there! Huge park with bay/lake & mountain vista drives. We would have loved the bike trails! And being so close to the water. A daytrip into the park had to suffice for us. Early planning & reservations are key!
