Reviews for Pennyrile Forest State Park

| Bring your level

Visited campground today to scout out a campsite to park my 40ft diesel pusher. There might be four or five at most that might accommodate such a machine. There are many campsites and smaller campers will work pretty well just be ready to do some serious leveling. Don't think I saw one site that was even close to level and most are ridiculously un-level. Well off the beaten path if you like that. There is a separate camping area for equestrian campers and it looks like these folks get the best campsites. Love the park but think I will pass on bringing my motor home for camping.

Beautiful park in wooded and hilly setting. Campground is challenge for big rigs - basically few if any level sites. Water and 50A at our site, which was a huge pull thru, but could not get level. Very nice lake with beach and paddle sports. Golf course. Very nice lodge. Equestrian area has flatter sites, but very hard to find availability.
