Best camp spot ever
By user-5878808... on 2017-10-23.
We stopped in at Perry's passing through for one night and stayed 3 nights because it was such a great spot. I don't know if I've ever encountered a friendlier staff. I saw the guy delivering ice! We stayed along the river, down below, not up by the road. Some of the spots are next to Rock Creek, and the bumper of our rig was about 12' from the creek. Just beautiful! We flat tow a jeep, and we found excellent back roads about 10 minutes up canyon. The turnoff was to a spot called, "Hellroaring Lakes." Here was some of the most fantastic natural scenery I have seen in my life, and I spent 25 years with the U.S. Forest Service fighting fire all over the country. Finally... If you go into Red Lodge, do not miss a breakfast & lunch place called, "Regis."
Yelp it if you don't trust me

Very nice
By user-5801399... on 2017-10-23.
We found this park using RV Parkey.
What a gem. Kevin and Becky are very accommodating. I told Kevin that we may stay longer than 3 nights, he said ok I will hold it open open for you, just let me know. He gave us a site right on the Creek. The run off from the Rockies was fantastic to see and hear. We took a 68 mile ride up through the Rockies to Yellowstone National Park. Wow what a thrill. Sites are big, gravel, level. We did not use any facilities as we are totally self sufficient in are 40' Motor Coach. They even let me wash the Coach. I highly recommend.

Awesome spot on the planet
By user-4508315... on 2017-10-23.
Saw review from firefighter and decided to give it a try. Started with two nights and ended up an extra night. Would've stayed longer but time limits prevailed. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Variety of campsites available. We requested a river site and were elated. Right on Rock Creek. It's just far enough out of Red Lodge to be quiet but not exactly easy walking distance. And Regis Cafe in town was the best breakfast and scones ever! Thanks for a great weekend. Will be back for longer.

What a great park. Camped right on the creek, 3 feet away from the edge. Beautiful. And this was our get away from Yellowstone. Wow

Convenient campground to stay at while in Red Lodge. Run by very nice people- sites close together, no fire rings on the upper level sites by the highway. Restrooms clean, some highway noise.

Woodall's book is WRONG at the grades they gave PERRY'S!! The people are helpful, the park is clean and QUIET!! We could actually hear the river from our RV! The birds were chirping, the breeze blew thru the cottonwood trees! A very relaxing evening!!

On the River
By user-5874173... on 2017-10-23.
I drove by and saw it is right on the river, unfortunately I stayed at the unkempt, undeveloped, and unlevel, KOA north of town. Their location will forgive anything when u see the river. Short drive to town which is very clean and probably want the tourist.

I would like to say this is a good place to relax and enjoy a little rest before heading on to Yellowstone, the pads are grave with 30 amp electric and water could use a little updating but it worked great for us
